The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse will be a key member of the Hospitals & Communities Integrated Services (HCIS) or Tertiary Mental Health Services multi-disciplinary care team. The successful candidate will provide timely, responsive, evidence-based treatment and clinical supports to individuals with serious severe and persistent mental health problems, and/or problematic substance use and/or development disability issues.
- Assess and treat individuals with complex mental health needs, providing case management and community support as required.
- Function as a primary clinician, utilizing specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups of clients and/or their families.
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary care team to ensure seamless care coordination and delivery.
The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse will work closely with the Adult Community Support Services (ACSS) team to provide urgent outreach, responsive assessment and treatment, case management, GP shared care, education, and support to individuals experiencing acute and/or chronic mental illness and/or problem substance use.
The ideal candidate will possess flexibility, critical thinking skills, and the ability to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team. This is a casual opportunity, with hours not guaranteed and shifts may be at short notice. Casual employees are eligible to apply for internal postings, including permanent and temporary positions.
