A prestigious secondary school is seeking a talented and dedicated Economics Teacher to join their high-achieving Social Sciences department on a full-time permanent basis. The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Economics lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, potentially contributing to Business Studies teaching at Key Stage 3.
  • Foster a deep understanding of economic concepts and principles, encouraging students to analyze real-world economic issues and develop their own informed opinions.
  • Create a stimulating learning environment where students feel confident to debate economic ideas and apply their knowledge to current events.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a rigorous and innovative Economics curriculum that caters to a range of learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their economic understanding.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Economics and Business Studies.
  • A proven track record of successful teaching and learning outcomes in Economics.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • A passion for Economics and a commitment to fostering critical thinking and economic literacy in young people.
