Residential Childcare Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Worker to join our team at Spark of Genius, a leading provider of residential child care services in Scotland. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of young people aged 10-18 who require care and guidance.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with young people to promote their social, emotional, and educational health and mental health needs.
- Participate in and encourage the participation of young people in domestic tasks to develop their self-care skills.
- Write review reports, risk assessments, and contribute to care plans to ensure the best interests of young people are respected and promoted.
- Liaise with parents and partner agencies to ensure the needs of young people are met.
- Good understanding of the developmental needs and milestones of young people.
- Experience of working with children and families.
- Driving License.
- Ability to communicate, engage, and form positive relationships with young people, parents, and other professionals.
- Ability to produce clear and concise written reports and records of good standard and verbally present information and views.
- Ability to challenge individuals where necessary, remain calm, and objective in difficult situations.
- SSSC conditions for Residential Childcare Worker fully met (e.g., SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People) or HNC/Academic equivalent).
