As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with complex needs. You will work as part of a dedicated team to promote good relationships, encourage achievements, and support the social, emotional, and educational health and mental health needs of our young people.
Key Responsibilities- Work in a positive, respectful, and empowering way with all young people to promote good relationships and encourage achievements.
- Participate in and encourage the participation of young people in domestic tasks to develop self-care skills.
- Write review reports, risk assessments, and contribute to care plans.
- Liaise with parents and partner agencies to ensure the best interests of young people are respected and promoted at all times.
- Good understanding of the developmental needs and milestones of young people.
- Experience of working with children and families.
- Driving License.
- Ability to communicate, engage, and form positive relationships with young people, parents/carers, and other professionals.
- Ability to produce clear and concise written reports and records of good standard and verbally present information and views.
- Ability to challenge individuals where necessary, remain calm, and objective in difficult situations.
- HNC in Social Care, NVQ level 3 in Care, or equivalent qualification, or the ability to undertake these qualifications.
