Dietitian - Children's Mental Health Specialist

Elysium Healthcare, a leading provider of specialist healthcare services, is seeking a highly skilled Dietitian to join its team at Rhodes Wood Hospital in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will work with children and young people aged 8-18 years who require treatment for eating disorders.
Job SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering care to vulnerable young people. As a Dietitian, you will be responsible for assessing and developing individualised nutrition plans, working closely with the nursing team and catering department to ensure seamless delivery of care.
About the Role- You will assess service users' weight and advise on weight, calories, and special meal plans.
- Carry a complex caseload using evidence-based and people-focused principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions in service users.
- Liaise with the hospital's catering department to review menus regularly, allergen lists, portion sizes, and special menus.
- Support the development and co-facilitation of group or activity staff training.
In addition, you will provide weekly progress reviews and feedback to the multi-disciplinary team during ward rounds. One-to-one nutrition counselling sessions will enable you to determine eating behaviours, beliefs, and attitudes about food and health.
Requirements- HCPC registered.
- BSc in Dietetics or postgraduate diploma in Dietetics.
- Post qualification training.
- Post-qualifying experience of working with people with eating disorders ideally in an inpatient setting.
