Radio Access Network Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Radio Access Network (RAN) Specialist to join our team at the UK Telecoms Lab (UKTL). As a trusted and independent national capability, UKTL interacts with standards bodies, academia, and the wider UK intelligence community to provide technical and testing services to the UK telecommunication landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert support to our networks and services, ensuring the ongoing capability to provide mission-critical services to both our own Evaluation and Testing team and national stakeholders.
- Work with the wider Networks and Infrastructure team to have direct influence over how the lab evolves and develops, ensuring our networks and capabilities are representative of the UK telecommunications landscape.
- Collaborate with senior government department officials, communications industry leaders, and academic professionals to coordinate meetings and briefings.
Requirements:
- Ability to commute to the UKTL offices in Birmingham with the possibility of hybrid working.
- Strong understanding of RAN technologies and their application in the telecommunications industry.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
