Job Details

At Teaching Vacancies, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Headway, an outstanding alternative provision centre based at Baysgarth School. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs within a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students with additional needs
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons
- Use ICT to support students' learning
- Develop and implement differentiation strategies to support a range of learning needs effectively
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure students receive the best possible education

Requirements:
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) Grade C or above
- Experience of working with students with additional needs within a secondary school
- Knowledge and awareness of KS2 and post 16 education
- Knowledge of SEND needs such as ADHD and Autism and how these can be supported
