Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Bowmandale Primary School. The successful candidate will work closely with children on a 1:1 or small group basis, providing support during teaching times and recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children with SEND in a 1:1 or small group setting
  • Work closely with class teachers to provide support for children to promote independence and access to the curriculum
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet the personal, social, and emotional learning needs of children
  • Communicate effectively with children, teachers, and other staff members
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge and understanding of SEND and its impact on children's learning
  • Commitment to promoting equality of opportunity and inclusion
  • Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references
