About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our team at Bowmandale Primary School. The successful candidate will work closely with children on a 1:1 or small group basis, providing support during teaching times and recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children with SEND in a 1:1 or small group setting
  • Work closely with class teachers to promote independence, inclusion, and access to the curriculum
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet children's personal, social, and emotional learning needs
  • Communicate effectively with children, teachers, and other staff members
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with SEND
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to promoting equality of opportunity and excellence in education
