Junior SQL Database Administrator Opportunity

We are seeking a talented SQL developer to support our client's SQL environment in Leeds.

This role will involve maintaining and developing robust database systems and processes to improve agent productivity and client deliverables.

The ideal candidate will have a growing SQL skill set and database skills, with experience in creating and modifying database objects, as well as proficient in T-SQL and advanced T-SQL functions.

Responsibilities will include:

  1. Maintaining and developing database systems and processes to improve agent productivity and client deliverables.
  2. Managing and maintaining the SQL environment to ensure maximum business systems uptime.
  3. Configuring and maintaining database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance.
  4. Establishing and documenting a continuous improvement and monitoring program in relation to the SQL and database environment.
  5. Participating in code reviews and providing feedback and guidance to the business to identify efficiencies.
  6. Analyzing, solving, and correcting issues in real time.
  7. Performing scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities.

Required skills and experience include:

  1. Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server.
  2. Understanding and experience in creating and modifying database objects.
  3. Understanding and hands-on experience of SQL Server administration.
  4. Proficient in T-SQL and advanced T-SQL functions.
  5. Working knowledge of SQL monitoring and management programs.

Desired skills and experience include:

  1. Experience of the full SQL BI Stack SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS.
  2. Experience of the MS PowerBI suite.
  3. Experience in developing web or forms applications using C#.
