About This Role

As a Child and Family Therapist, you will be responsible for providing complex care to children and their families, addressing behavioral, emotional, and psychological issues. You will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement programs of care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our service users.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and risk evaluations to identify areas of concern and develop tailored interventions.
  • Work closely with families and other professionals to create and maintain care plans, promoting positive change and growth.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of colleagues, improving overall service delivery.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in child mental health, applying this expertise to inform clinical decision-making.
Qualifications and Experience

We are seeking an experienced therapist with a postgraduate qualification in systemic or family therapy, registration as a Systemic Psychotherapist with a recognized professional body, and evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

A strong understanding of CAPA and CYP-IAPT frameworks, experience working in CAMHS teams, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. A specialist training in an area such as CAPA or CYP-IAPT would be desirable.
