Strategic Planning Policy Specialist

**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Strategic Planning Policy Specialist to join our team on an interim basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a Local Authority in the Leicestershire area.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of planning policy and be able to undertake site visits as required. The role is outside IR35 and offers a competitive rate of £50 per hour.
About the Role:
- To conduct the councils Housing and Employment Land Availability Assessment (HELAA) and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Undertake site visits to assess land availability and suitability for development.
- Assist in the preparation of planning policy documents and reports.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of planning policy and legislation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Arrangements:
- 37 hours per week.
- 9 month contract with potential for extension.
Estimated Salary:** £45,000 - £55,000 per annum based on 37 hours per week.
