Job Summary
The Financial Officer will provide high-quality financial support to the Chief Executive, Treasurer, and Board, serving as the key point of contact for staff and stakeholders on all financial matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process all day-to-day financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting requirements and supporting the effective financial management of Heads Up Leicester.
- Implement financial policies and processes accurately and in good time, ensuring full compliance with the financial control framework.
- Prepare and present clear and accessible monthly management accounts to assist charity managers in their oversight and monitoring of the budget.
- Provide financial information, including costing and projections for funding applications.
- Supply robust financial costing and projection information for all contracts and workstreams.
- Perform month-end control checks and reconciliations, including bank reconciliations for review by the Treasurer.
- Manage and maintain the charity's finance records and payroll using Sage.
- Lead and manage systems and processes for effective and efficient payroll administration.
- Lead year-end financial procedures, including all audit processes in conjunction with and under the supervision of the Treasurer.
- Update Charity Commission/Companies House records as required.
- Identify and report any actual or potential financial concerns to the Chief Executive and/or Treasurer.
