Freelance Epidemiology Lead Opportunity

Barrington James is seeking a highly skilled Freelance Epidemiology Lead to join our team on a 6/12 month basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing ongoing RWE studies in every country/region worldwide except the US and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate scientific evidence into actionable business cases
  • Work closely with country and regional business leaders to support the adoption of data-driven strategies
  • Develop and implement epidemiology research plans to enhance market access, product positioning, and overall business performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate epidemiology research into business strategies

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or MPH) in Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Economics, or related field
  • Expertise in RWE, Epidemiology, Outcomes research, and statistics
  • 7+ years of experience in epidemiology, outcomes research, or real-world evidence generation within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Proven track record of translating scientific research into actionable business strategies
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare systems, regulatory requirements, and market access processes across multiple geographies
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex scientific concepts into business-relevant insights
  • Proficiency with real-world data sources, statistical software, and outcomes research methodologies

Desirable Skills:

  • Exposure to chronic diseases
  • HEOR modelling
