Swansea Bay University Health Board seeks a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Pulmonary Rehabilitation team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced professional to work collaboratively within an integrated multi-disciplinary team, providing specialist assessment, goal-directed intervention, and rehabilitation to patients in the setting.
The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills, as well as sound clinical knowledge. We welcome applicants who can demonstrate enthusiasm and potential for development in these areas, with opportunities provided for growth and skill enhancement.
This role offers a unique chance to shape and promote our high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy service. You will contribute to the development of the service, working closely with MDT colleagues to deliver exceptional patient care.
A defined caseload will be managed efficiently and effectively, utilising evidence-based and client-centred principles. Clinical records will be maintained to agreed standards, and accurate reporting to others is essential.
You will work in partnership with clients, carers, and the multidisciplinary team to identify relevant goals, providing leadership and supervision for junior staff when delegated. Regular supervision of Occupational Therapy students on practice placements is also required.
Participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is expected, with opportunities to develop skills and knowledge through the Band 6 Development Programme and other activities.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable, but English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
We offer a range of benefits, including a competitive salary, pension scheme, and access to training and development opportunities. Our inclusive employer status ensures equal opportunities for all applicants, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Our values - Caring For Each Other, Working Together, and Always Improving - demonstrate our commitment to equality and excellence in everything we do.
