Accredited Coding Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Accredited Coding Consultant to join our team at Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the coding process, ensuring accurate and timely data extraction, and providing exceptional support to the department.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the coding process, ensuring accurate and timely data extraction.
- Develop and implement changes to local coding policy and procedures.
- Assign codes from the International Classification of Diseases (ICD10), Office of Population Censuses and Surveys (OPCS4), applying National and International rules to agreed standards.
- Input coded data onto the Patient Administration System (PAS) for all Inpatient episodes.
- NCCQ Accredited Clinical Coding Qualification.
- GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent, or work-based experience.
- Excellent knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy & physiology.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The salary for this role is £29,970 to £36,483 per annum, with an additional £4000 R&R payment over 12 months. Other benefits include a permanent contract, full-time working hours, and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
