Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Signalling Scheme Validator to join our team in London, UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering testing services for component parts of signalling schemes, ensuring compliance with contracts and group standards. Your expertise will contribute to the safe and efficient operation of our railway systems.

Responsibilities

  • Validate signalling schemes against contract conditions and group standards
  • Perform works within limitations identified in Network Rail Certificate of Competence
  • Develop and enhance testing competencies and abilities
  • Identify variations to contracts and inform Project Managers
  • Control daily work in line with testing and commissioning plans
  • Motivate associated staff and communicate task requirements effectively
  • Ensure compliance with Alstom testing procedures and identify potential process improvements
  • Undertake COSS/SWL duties and maintain a safe system of work
  • Attend technical briefings and safety meetings
  • Manage issued tools and equipment

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Functional Testers Licence
  • Knowledge of contract conditions and planning processes
  • In-depth understanding of group and line standards
  • Appreciation of design and installation principles
  • Report writing skills
  • A Driving Licence
