About Us: Primary Care Physio is a leading national independent specialist first contact primary care provider, dedicated to supporting NHS Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and their GP practices in delivering high-quality, tech-enabled NHS primary care solutions across Physiotherapy and Podiatry.

We have been commissioned by over 175 NHS Primary Care Networks (PCNs) to deliver an integrated and local First Contact Physio managed service. Our talented team of over 335 First Contact Physios, First Contact Podiatrists, & Advanced Practitioners, supported by experienced and Health Education England approved clinical supervisors, enable us to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Practice: Assess, diagnose, triage, and manage patients with complex caseloads, taking responsibility for developing and utilising full scope of clinical practice, including skills relating to independent prescribing, injection therapy, and investigation when trained to do so.
  • Evidence, Research, and Development: Develop relationships and collaborative working approaches across PCNs to integrate pathways in primary care, work as part of an MDT in a patient-facing role, support research and audit programmes, and streamline care pathways by providing responsive services.
  • Leadership: Lead, manage, and contribute to service delivery, implement effective clinical governance for own practice, communicate effectively and appropriately with patients and carers about complex and sensitive information.
  • Facilitating Learning: Provide feedback and support to other PCN clinical team members on referral criteria, critically reflect on own practice, and continue to develop skills.

Requirements:

  • Fully HCPC and CSP registered practicing Physiotherapist with minimum 5 years post-graduate experience and 3 years of clinical experience delivering musculoskeletal assessment and treatment.
  • Completion of some level 7 MSc learning.

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
