Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant in London

About the Job:

This is a full-time opportunity to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a secondary school based in Tottenham and Walthamstow. As a successful candidate, you will be working alongside the class teacher to ensure each child progresses towards their goals.

You will gain experience working with children with mixed special needs such as mild to severe learning difficulties, verbal and non-verbal communication techniques, sensory impairment, Autism, Challenging Behaviour and other additional needs.

The role involves 1-1 work in a mainstream secondary for the SEN department and may require personal care.


Requirements:
  • A strong understanding of the requirement to support pupils with additional needs
  • Experience supporting young people with SEN would be advantageous
  • Adaptability, motivation, and ability to take initiative
