About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Asset Management to join our team at Rand Associates. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing all asset management activities across the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • To be Rand Associates' Asset Management Champion and take the initiative in developing our asset management offering.
  • To work closely with Project Managers to provide guidance on stock condition and EPC projects.
  • To offer clients advice on matters related to asset management, including surveying requirements, funding matters, and asset appraisal.
  • To develop relationships with clients and strategic partners.
  • To assist clients with the development of asset management strategies, programs of works, and similar initiatives.
  • To oversee and be actively involved in the reporting of stock condition surveys and other asset management activities.
  • To provide regular board reports on top-level progress across asset management activities.
  • To be involved in business development and generating workload as appropriate.
  • To head up the recruitment of new staff and assist in the retraining of existing staff as required.
  • To attend internal and external meetings as required, including presentations.
  • To attend conferences and exhibitions to promote Rand's services and products, including delivering presentations where required.
  • To use Microsoft Office software, such as Word and Excel, as required to fulfill the commitments of the role, as well as bespoke software where required.
  • To undergo training as required to satisfy the requirements of the role, including attendance at staff development days and external training courses where required.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • 5-10 years of experience in asset management related roles within social housing.
  • Proven experience in analyzing, understanding, and capturing requirements.
  • Ability to lead meetings and maintain implementation/upgrade progress plans.
  • Strong management skills.
  • Strong presentation skills, both in small and large group settings.
Desirable Skills

We would also like to see:

  • Experience in using/developing asset management software.
  • Agile project management practices.
About Us

Rand Associates provides surveying services, consultancy, and software products to the social housing sector. Our clients include housing associations, local authorities, building contractors, and consultants. We are part of the M3 Housing group of companies, which publishes the M3NHF Schedule of Rates and a range of associated products used for property maintenance.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £70,000 depending on skills and experience, as well as:

  • 37.5 hours per week, flexible hours offered.
  • 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Probationary period: 6 months.
  • Notice period: Three months (one week during probation period).
  • Other benefits: Company pension scheme, Christmas bonus scheme, company car or car allowance, health insurance.
  • Learning: Training courses available to all, led by employee aspirations.
