Our Housekeeping team are key to ensuring that our guests have a comfortable & enjoyable stay. As our Head Housekeeper you will be managing a team to provide our guests with a high standard of cleanliness and comfort ensuring their maximum satisfaction meaning they will want to return to stay with us.

**What will I be doing as Head Housekeeper?**
- Maintaining and improving operating standards, ensuring consistently high standards of cleanliness & product in bedrooms and public areas.
- Controlling departmental expenses including linen, cleaning products, guest supplies and wages in line with business levels
- Leading and motivating the team to deliver excellent customer service ensuring maximum guest satisfaction.
- Ensuring good clear lines of communication between the Housekeepers and Front Office and Maintenance teams
- Monitoring VIP allocations and special requests.
- Monitoring guest feedback and ensuring actions are taken to rectify any shortfall in standards.
- Managing and developing the teams’ skills through training and coaching and via the appraisal process
- Implementing and monitoring health and safety practices and procedures
- Liaising with General Manager and Head Office regarding refurbishment plans/projects.
- Duty management shifts as required
**As Head Housekeeper you will have**:
- Solid experience as a Deputy or Head Housekeeper in a quality hotel of 150 rooms or more.
- Good financial awareness with a full understanding of controlling costs in particular linen supplies & wages.
- Self-motivation and be able to motivate others to achieve through proven man-management skills, coaching and team building.
- Strong organisational skills and be able to implement, work with and monitor systems and procedures ensuring attention to detail at all times.
- Good understanding of all applicable health and safety legislation.
- Be IT literate, ideally with working knowlegde of Opera PMS.
- An excellent command of written & spoken English and numeracy.
