Senior Care Professional

As a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will play a vital part in delivering high standards of personal care to our residents. Your focus will be on supporting and working alongside the Care team to create a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for all.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changes that may impact on care and care plans, and ensuring that new needs are met and recorded accordingly.
• Be involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with their medication requirements, ensuring their needs are met and recorded accurately.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development where required, helping to build a positive and supportive team culture.
• Act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do. Our ideal candidate will have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, 2 years' experience working in a similar care environment, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. You will also need to have a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff, and be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
