Sales Manager

Reporting to: General Manager and Regional Director of Sales UK & Ireland
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team at Sandman Signature Newcastle Hotel. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving proactive and reactive sales efforts, managing key accounts, and leveraging a strong understanding of the local market and events scene.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through various channels.
- Nurture and maintain relationships with existing key accounts.
- Stay informed about local market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.
- Respond promptly and professionally to sales enquiries.
- Conduct site visits, presentations, and negotiations to secure bookings and contracts.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, performance analysis, and forecasts to the management team.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of success in sales roles within the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of proactive and reactive selling techniques.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- In-depth knowledge of the local market, including key industries, events, and potential clients.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
