About the Role: Positive Futures Recruitment Ltd is seeking a dedicated Early Years Specialist to join their team in Worcester. As a key member of the provision, you will provide a nurturing environment for children with special needs up to 5 years old.

Main Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for attending to day-to-day care of playrooms, keeping them attractive, safe and clean. You will set up and plan activities to suit children's needs, developing strong relationships with families and professionals. Additionally, you will serve as a dedicated Key Person to a group of children, observing, assessing and planning to support their development. Your tasks will also include recording observations and sharing them with staff and parents, interacting with children using 'shared play' or 'reflective' approaches, and supporting children's emotional needs and parents' understanding of their child's play needs.

Ideal Candidate: We are looking for an approachable and friendly individual who can listen and be non-judgemental. The ideal candidate should be able to make parents feel valued and involved in sessions, supportive of parents' concerns, prepared to attend staff meetings and work closely with the team. A qualified NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development or equivalent is essential, along with organisation and communication skills to coordinate play activities. Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and play materials that promote respect for differences is also required.

Benefits: This role offers a competitive salary of £25,000 - £28,000 per annum, fully paid DBS and yearly update service renewal, Employee Assistance Programme - wellbeing resource and support, Company Team Day and staff awards, additional leave entitlement for 5 and 10 years service, 39 week contract with 38 weeks in centre and 5 inset days, and sick pay for the first 3 days of absence.
