Radiation Therapist

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Therapeutic Radiography Degree Apprentice within the Radiotherapy department at the Oxford Cancer Centre.
This exciting opportunity is a collaboration with the University of West of England (UWE), Bristol, and will enable the successful candidate to train as a qualified Therapeutic Radiographer over a three-year period.
Main Duties- To work within the Radiotherapy department under the Radiotherapy Radiographer Apprenticeship programme at UWE.
- To work under the supervision of a HCPC Registered Practitioner.
- To provide radiotherapy, care, and support to individuals as specified in standard radiotherapy protocols.
- To perform a range of radiotherapy duties and procedures, as detailed within the apprenticeship programme, within the Radiotherapy department under the supervision of a qualified Therapeutic Radiographer at all times.
- To ensure that the Ionising Radiation Regulations, IRMER, and associated codes of practice and guidance notes together with the Health and Safety at Work Act are understood and adhered to in respect of self, staff, patients, and members of the public.
- To work with the radiotherapy assistant team in their duties.
