Specialist Support Assistant Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated support assistant to join our key stage 1 team in a 'Good' primary school located in Preston.

About the Role:

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
  • Competitive hourly rate of £12.90 - £13.50
  • Initial contract for one academic year with the possibility of extension

As a support assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support to ensure they feel comfortable, happy, and safe in their learning environment. You will be responsible for providing individualized support to pupils with special educational needs, enabling them to access their learning effectively.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 2 or above relevant qualification
  • An enhanced DBS check (assistance provided)
  • Ability to work term-time only
  • Experience working with children or individuals with additional needs
  • A positive attitude and high level of reliability
