Our client, a leading scientific instrumentation company based in Cambridge, is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Physicist to join their team as a Senior Physicist. The successful candidate will provide expertise in imaging for drug discovery applications, working closely with scientists and software developers.

The role involves designing and developing novel algorithms for 2D imaging and numerical data analyses for microscope-based signal detection, as well as converting niche scientific requirements into software. Requirements include a degree in Applied Physics, Maths or Computer Science and PhD (or equivalent experience), followed by relevant project experience. Demonstrable experience of 2D image processing applied to microdroplet based technologies using ML / AI methods is also essential.

On offer is an excellent remuneration package including enhanced pension contributions, private medical insurance and life insurance. Based on the location and industry standards, we estimate the salary to be around £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.
