Role Overview

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled researcher to join our team at the Centre for Mechanochemical Cell Biology. As a Research Imaging Fellow, you will contribute to our cutting-edge research projects in advanced imaging sciences and have the chance to work closely with experienced investigators.

Your primary responsibilities will include designing and developing novel microscopes and microscope components, software for image analysis, and fluorescent proteins for intracellular imaging. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other researchers across the university and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop novel microscopes and microscope components (hardware, especially light sheet microscopy)
  • Develop software for image analysis and processing
  • Create fluorescent proteins for intracellular imaging applications
Requirements
  • PhD in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Genetics, Optical Engineering, Photophysics, or Photochemistry
  • Strong experience in using advanced imaging approaches
  • Candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team
