Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled administrator to join our team as an Audio Medical Secretary in the Children and Young People's Gender Service (South West) at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients and their families.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also have a good understanding of Microsoft Office 365 software and audio typing/dictation software. Salary and Benefits:

This is a full-time role that offers a competitive salary of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including generous annual leave, pension scheme, and opportunities for career development.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide administrative support to healthcare professionals, including data entry and report preparation
  • To maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • To act as a point of contact for queries from clinical and non-clinical staff
  • To liaise via telephone and email with other clinical/clerical teams to action urgent appointments or procedures where necessary

Requirements:

  • Educated to GCSE level in English Language and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Qualified in word processing or audio typing (or equivalent)
  • Business and Administration Level 3 NVQ or equivalent experience
