We are seeking a skilled Home Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Renal Home Therapies team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate individual to work with patients undergoing dialysis treatment at home. Your primary responsibility will be to visit patients in their homes, prepare and set up their automated peritoneal dialysis machines, and provide ongoing support and education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Visit patients in their homes to prepare and set up their automated peritoneal dialysis machines
  • Provide ongoing support and education to patients and their families
  • Monitor patient stock of dialysis equipment and carry out stock counts when requested
  • Carry out peritoneal dialysis fluid changes in patients' homes when required
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A good basic level of secondary education
  • NVQ level 2 in Healthcare or equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience in a caring role within a health or social care setting
  • Demonstrable communication and relationship skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Working Arrangements:

This is a full-time position, working on a rota basis, including weekends and evenings. A full driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle are essential requirements.

Salary:

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
