Ecological Consultant Role

We are seeking a skilled Ecological Consultant to join our Nature team. As an Ecological Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering ecological requirements within multi-disciplinary tenders and projects.

  • Participate in the health, safety and well-being culture of the team.
  • Support liaison with project managers and clients on the delivery of ecological requirements.
  • Organise and carry out desk studies and field-based habitat, botanical, and protected species surveys.
  • Assisting with managing the technical and financial performance of ecological projects.
  • Support with undertaking the analysis, evaluation, interpretation and presentation of ecological data.
  • Performing the role of an Ecological Clerk of Works on construction projects.
  • Communicate effectively with your line manager, other members of the ecology team and clients.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience of working in an ecology-related job role.
  • Knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and ecological survey methodologies.
  • Field skills with experience in botanical identification and protected species surveys.
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to work.
