Legal Counsel / Commercial Lawyer

Established energy supplier seeks experienced Commercial Lawyer to join their legal team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Commercial Lawyer to contribute to innovative projects within energy and infrastructure.

As the Legal Counsel / Commercial Lawyer, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert advice on new and existing energy infrastructure projects, including low carbon heating and cooling systems
  • Collaborating with commercial leads to develop innovative decarbonisation strategies
  • Advising on regulatory changes and updating contracts accordingly
  • Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including heat network contracts and private wire agreements

Requirements:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEX
  • Experience in drafting high-value commercial contracts
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
  • Understanding of working in a regulated environment
  • Strong commercial acumen
