Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecoms Installation Specialist to join our team. As a Copper Line Engineer, you will be responsible for installing copper lines into customer houses and working in cabinets and climbing poles.

This is a long-term contract role with estimated earnings of £35k-£45k per annum, depending on experience. You will receive all equipment provided, including tooling, PPE, and uniform, as well as a vehicle with fuel card.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installing copper cable to customer premises
  • Liaising with customers to ensure installations can take place
  • Adhering to Health and Safety legislation
  • Working at height - climbing ladders safely
  • Working in underground telecommunications chambers and in street cabinets
  • Explaining the new connection to customers and ensuring they are fully satisfied

Requirements

  • Must hold a full UK driving licence
  • Must be over 21 years of age (for company vehicle insurance)
  • Confident working at height and in underground network
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Hold a valid NRSWA street works Operative unit 2 card (desirable)
  • Hold or have held PIA accreditations (desirable)
  • Risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on Health and Safety practices

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £35k-£45k per annum, depending on experience.
