The Royal National Lifeboat Institution's Inshore Lifeboat Centre, located in Cowes, Isle of Wight, has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Petrol and Diesel Engine Specialist. As part of our dedicated team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of marine engines, ensuring our lifeboats remain operational at all times.

A competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum reflects the importance of this role in supporting our lifesaving mission.

Requirements:
  • Sound technical knowledge and competence in fault diagnosis
  • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent with relevant qualifications (City and Guilds or NVQ3)
  • Experience in marine fitting installations, boat construction within a boatyard/factory environment (preferable)
  • Transferable experience from other industries (e.g., automotive trade) may also be considered
