BAS Controls and Commissioning Specialist

**About the Position:**
We are seeking a skilled BAS Controls and Commissioning Specialist to join our team at Conexus Inc.
As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of advanced building automation systems. Your expertise in BAS controls and sequences of operation will ensure seamless integration with existing systems, while your problem-solving skills will enable you to troubleshoot complex issues.
About the Job:
- You will work closely with our engineering team to design and implement custom solutions for our clients' building automation needs.
- Your experience with Distech and Tridium product lines, as well as Ethernet, BACnet, and LON networks, will enable you to provide expert technical support and application assistance.
- You will also be responsible for developing and verifying non-standard designs and custom solutions from standard products, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and performance.
- In addition to these responsibilities, you may be required to perform system commissioning, including loading software programs and implementing modifications as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support during the installation and commissioning of new and expanded building automation systems.
- Review engineered documentation of system design and sequences of operation to verify compliance with specifications and/or Conexus engineering standards.
- Communicate any design issues discovered in the commissioning process to engineering in a timely manner to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Troubleshoot possible issues, including identifying and debugging software, and any hardware-related problems.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 4 years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related discipline.
- Experience in BAS systems and sequences of operation, including Ethernet, BACnet, and LON networks.
- Possess the ability to read and understand technical specifications, construction plans, and contract requirements.
- Have, or develop, an understanding of typical HVAC systems, such as hot water and steam boiler systems, chilled water systems using air-cooled chillers, water-cooled chillers, tower/boiler heat pump systems, air handlers, and VAV box systems.
- Experience with PCs in Windows environments, web-enabled applications, and database software.
