The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing financial processes and providing insightful analysis to inform business decisions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Preparing monthly management accounts packs with accuracy and efficiency
  • Overseeing the month-end close process to ensure timely completion
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting to support business growth
  • Reconciling balance sheets to ensure financial integrity
  • Preparing year-end accounts with precision and attention to detail
  • Monitoring foreign exchange transactions to mitigate risk
  • VAT returns and PAYE submissions in compliance with regulations
  • Stock reconciliation and valuation to optimize inventory management
  • Providing ad-hoc reporting and analysis of key performance indicators

This role offers a rewarding experience for an ambitious finance professional seeking a challenging position in a dynamic SME. The ideal candidate will have previous experience owning the management accounts production process, strong analytical skills, and a flexible approach to dealing with various accounting tasks associated with a small finance department.

The role is office-based with the option to work from home two days a week once up and running. Strong QBE accountants or CIMA/ACCA part or nearly qualified candidates will be welcomed. Excel proficiency and experience with SAGE 200 are advantageous.

A competitive salary of £62,500 per annum, based on experience, is offered to attract a talented Finance Controller who can drive business success.
