About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Quality Onboarding Lead to join our team at B&Q. As a key member of our Store Support Office in Southampton, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Management
    • Lead a dynamic team of Product Quality Managers and Administrators, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful onboarding of new products.
    • Manage tasks such as personal development plans, recruitment, holiday approvals, and talent development reviews to optimize team performance.
    • Support the team with daily queries and issues, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Vendor Audits
    • Oversee the vendor audit schedule with Product Quality Managers and Commercial teams, ensuring alignment with B&Q's quality standards.
  • Compliance
    • Ensure vendor-branded products comply with UK & EU legislation and meet quality standards, meeting Kingfisher and B&Q policies.
  • Process Improvement
    • Collaborate with the commercial team to enhance processes and procedures, driving continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Training
    • Provide training to stakeholders on ways of working, ensuring a culture of quality and compliance.
  • Reporting
    • Complete monthly reports for the Quality Manager, providing insights into team performance and quality metrics.
    • Review and approve all audit reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Adherence to Policies
    • Ensure compliance with the Vendor Manual and B&Q procedures, maintaining a culture of quality and integrity.

Requirements

  • Team Management Experience
    • Experience in managing a non-food retail Quality team, with a proven track record of success.
  • Regulatory Knowledge
    • Detailed understanding of UK and EU regulations for various product types, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.
  • Project Management
    • Proven project management experience, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Mobility
    • Ability to drive and travel overnight as needed, with a flexible approach to work.
