About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Lead Architect to join our team at Building Careers UK. As a Chartered Architect - Departmental Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, management, and delivery of various building projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Specification: Design and specify building projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  • Project Management: Manage projects through planning, regulations, and consent processes, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary design teams and coordinate with external consultants to achieve project goals.
  • Communication: Facilitate communication within the team and with external parties, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
  • Revenue Generation: Generate fees for the Architect Department through effective project management and delivery.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise a team of Architectural Technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: ARB registered Architect with relevant experience.
  • Professional Memberships: Membership in professional bodies like ARB and RIBA.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in Architectural design and delivery, with versatility across operational areas and client types.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or similar, and experience across all 6 RIBA work-stages.
