Blackrock Global Markets EMEA LawyerAt ENGINEERINGUK, we're seeking a skilled lawyer to join our in-house team providing legal coverage to Blackrock Global Markets (BGM). As a key member of our global legal team, you'll analyze and respond to complex issues arising from trading and market-facing activity of Blackrock funds and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Support investment teams and traders in connection with OTC derivatives trading, digital/crypto asset transactions, and business initiatives;
- Develop BlackRock standard-form trading documentation;
- Draft, review, and negotiate technical and legally complex OTC derivative instruments and related documentation;
- Analyze and implement trading-related regulations, performing cross-border applicability analysis;
- Contribute to special projects as required.
Requirements
- Solicitor/lawyer qualified in England and Wales or Scotland;
- 2-6 years of post-qualification experience as a lawyer with a law firm or in-house at a financial services company;
- Experience with industry-standard trading agreements and related documentation;
- Ability to analyze and apply trading-related rules and regulations across dealers and funds in multiple jurisdictions;
- Strong understanding of current regulatory frameworks affecting trading and investments;
- Excellent organizational, negotiating, and interpersonal skills;
- Commercial outlook, motivated, personable, and attention to detail;
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization in verbal and written form.
