Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Description

Gold Group Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing project budgets, overseeing the tendering process, administering construction contracts, and identifying potential risks related to projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage project budgets throughout each phase, monitoring expenditures and ensuring projects are completed within budget constraints.
  • Oversee the tendering process, including the preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids, and negotiation of contracts.
  • Administer construction contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and conditions.
  • Identify and assess potential risks related to projects.
  • Evaluate project designs and specifications to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Implement effective cost control measures to monitor and manage project expenses.
  • Prepare and present financial cost reports, including cost forecasts and cash flow projections.
  • Manage changes in project scope and assess their impact on costs and schedules.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in the UK for a main contractor on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
