Part Time Financial Director

A seasoned Financial Professional is sought by JMF Associates, a well-established construction business based in the South East region. The role is offered on a part-time permanent basis, working three days a week. Reporting directly to the Managing Director. You will be responsible for the overall financial function of the business on a practically sole-charge basis. The ideal candidate must have experience of working in the Construction industry, particularly the contracting sector. Excellent communication skills are essential, coupled with being flexible and adaptable. Be self-motivated, innovative, and proactive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management accounts and financial reporting
  • Project analysis, accruals, and prepayments
  • Cash flow management and reporting
  • Timesheet processing and payroll administration
  • Reconciliations, daily banking postings, and cash handling
  • Sales ledger and purchase ledger processing
  • Credit control and debt management
  • PAYE, CIS payments, VAT, and CIS returns
  • Year-end accounts and financial statement preparation

Requirements:

  • ACCA or CIMA qualification
  • Previous experience working in the construction industry, preferably in the contracting sector
  • Proficiency in SAGE Line 50 and SAGE Construct Accounting systems
