Senior Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager to join our team at Red Kite Waste. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective environmental, health, and safety strategies across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement EHS Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive environmental, health, and safety plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  2. Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify and mitigate potential risks to employees, customers, and the environment through regular risk assessments and audits.
  3. Manage Compliance: Ensure all operations are in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including permitting and quality management systems.
  4. Lead Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on EHS policies, procedures, and best practices.
  5. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and management, to ensure EHS considerations are integrated into all aspects of the business.

Requirements:

  1. Qualifications: A level 3 or higher qualification on the national qualifications framework in Health & Safety, such as the NEBOSH General Certificate of Higher.
  2. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective EHS strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Industry Certifications: Relevant industry certifications, such as IOSH or NEBOSH, are highly desirable.
  2. Leadership Experience: Experience in a leadership role, with a proven ability to motivate and develop teams.
