Health, Safety and Environmental Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to join our team at Vector Recruitment Solutions Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) compliance across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- HSQE Compliance & Monitoring: Develop and implement HSQE policies and procedures to ensure alignment with industry regulations, including ISO standards and UK-specific safety laws. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Safety Leadership & Incident Management: Foster a culture of safety awareness across the organization through training and regular communication. Lead incident investigations and establish preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences.
- Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement: Manage the quality assurance process to ensure all operations meet established quality standards. Collaborate with internal teams to incorporate best practices for quality and safety into day-to-day operations.
- Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including waste management, emissions control, and resource conservation. Monitor the organization's environmental impact and implement strategies to reduce its carbon footprint.
- Training & Development: Develop and deliver HSQE training programs to ensure employees are well-versed in safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in HSQE management, ideally within the construction, water, or utilities sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and UK regulatory requirements.
- Expertise in auditing, compliance system management, and safety protocol implementation.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage cross-functional teams.
- A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to managing safety, quality, and environmental processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- NEBOSH or IOSH certification is highly desirable.
- Project management certification is advantageous.
