Job Title: Lead Health, Safety and Environmental Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to join our team at 1066online. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) compliance across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. HSQE Compliance and Monitoring: Develop and implement HSQE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations, including ISO standards and UK-specific safety laws. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  2. Safety Leadership and Incident Management: Lead safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment for all employees. Investigate incidents and establish preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences. Maintain accurate safety records and reports.
  3. Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement: Manage the quality assurance process to ensure all operations meet established quality standards. Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and safety performance. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify opportunities for improvement.
  4. Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including waste management, emissions control, and resource conservation. Monitor the company's environmental impact and implement strategies to reduce its carbon footprint.
  5. Training and Development: Develop and deliver HSQE training programs to ensure employees are well-versed in safety, quality, and environmental procedures. Lead safety meetings and encourage proactive participation in health and safety initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in HSQE management, ideally within the construction, water, or utilities sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and UK regulatory requirements.
  • Expertise in auditing, compliance system management, and safety protocol implementation.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage cross-functional teams.
  • A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to managing safety, quality, and environmental processes.

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH or IOSH certification is highly desirable.
  • Project management certification is advantageous.
