Care Professional for Elderly Care

At Queens View Harbour Care Home, we are committed to delivering exceptional care and support to our residents. We are seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join our close-knit care team.
About the Role:
- Empowering Independence: Assist residents with daily routines, promoting their independence and dignity while providing hands-on help when needed.
- Personalized Care: Support each resident's personalized care plan, addressing their unique needs and preferences.
- Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents' health, communicating concerns to nurses or clinical deputies, and helping with calls to healthcare professionals as necessary.
- Championing Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of every resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for in all interactions.
- Social Support: Foster social connections among residents and staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
- Safety and Comfort: Collaborate with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, responding promptly to emergencies or call bells.
- Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
- Spread Smiles: Above all, bring joy to our residents' lives and make them smile every day.
About You:
- Qualifications: SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred, but transferable skills and a passion for care are also valuable assets.
- Experience: Ideally, you have at least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, though we welcome those with a genuine interest in caring for the elderly and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
- Values: Integrity, respect, and teamwork are essential qualities that will serve you well in this role.
