Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Care Assistant to join our close-knit care team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of care and support.
About the Role- You will assist residents with their daily routines, promoting independence and dignity in all interactions.
- Your personalized approach will ensure each resident's needs are met, from empowering them to make positive choices to providing hands-on help when required.
- You will work closely with our Nurse and Clinical Deputy Manager to maintain the health and wellbeing of our residents, communicating any concerns and helping with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals as needed.
- Upholding the dignity and respect of each resident is paramount, ensuring they feel valued and cared for in every interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines, promoting autonomy and confidence.
- Personalized Care: Develop and implement tailored care plans, providing thoughtful attention to individual needs.
- Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents' health, reporting concerns and assisting with communication as required.
- Champion Dignity: Uphold the respect and dignity of each resident, fostering a culture of care and compassion.
- Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and staff, creating a welcoming environment.
Requirements:
- SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is preferred.
- At least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant (or transferable skills).
- A genuine passion for caring for the elderly and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Integrity, respect, and a strong sense of teamwork are essential.
