About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Student Welfare Officer to join our team at Bath College. As a key member of our safeguarding team, you will play a vital role in supporting the welfare and safeguarding of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take a lead role in one specific area of safeguarding, mental health, or wellbeing, providing specialist support to students in that field.
  • Work closely with students, staff, and external agencies to ensure the effective implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to students on a range of issues, including mental health, wellbeing, and safeguarding.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver training and awareness-raising initiatives on safeguarding and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to safeguarding and wellbeing.
Requirements
  • Level 3 Safeguarding qualification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at grade C or above.
  • Prevent Training.
