About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse, using advanced tools and techniques to maximize equipment effectiveness.
  • Uphold all health and safety policies and practices, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Support the development and progression of onsite apprentices, providing guidance and mentorship to help them grow in their roles.
  • Work on continuous improvement projects, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and implement best practices across multiple EU sites.
About the Team

Our RME team is a technically-minded group of excellent team players, guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers.

As an RME Technician, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting technology, including automated packaging systems and complex item sorters. You will also have the chance to develop and introduce new processes and cutting-edge technologies, such as Amazon Robotics.

Requirements
  • Served a full Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject.
  • Relevant experience as a qualified engineer, with a strong background in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
  • Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Apprentice-trained, HNC, HND, BSc, or BEng in a relevant Engineering subject.
  • Experience in condition-based monitoring, working with print and apply machines, and fault-finding and maintaining conveyor or automation systems.
