Job Title: Strategic Policy Development Specialist

About the Role

The Strategic Policy Development Specialist will be responsible for managing new initiatives and policy development within the Prevention and Social Care Department, specifically under Safeguarding. This role involves supporting departmental policy change in response to national guidance and local issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain reporting frameworks using electronic recording systems to support performance management across the service.
  • Handle quality assurance processes and provide training to frontline social work teams.
  • Attend meetings, develop strategic project plans, deliver presentations, and create reports for various audiences.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience and working knowledge of performance indicators and reporting mechanisms within children's social care.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a related discipline, business administration, project management, and evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Strong skills in communication, both in English and Welsh.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with flexibility required to address the ever-changing dynamics of the service environment. The successful candidate will be committed to providing outstanding services for Wrexham people and upholding equality and diversity principles.

Estimated salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.
