Job Description
  As a Policy Development Officer at PP Associates Ltd, you will be responsible for leading the commissioning and contracting of statutory and third sector social care provision across Wrexham. This role involves developing strategy and policy documents that align with national policy and guidance, stakeholder engagement, and research.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement commissioning strategies that align with national policy and guidance
  • Provide expert advice on commissioning frameworks, including Government strategies and legislative framework
  • Collaborate with Health, third sector, and independent sector providers, understanding their services, policies, and guidelines
  • Develop options papers, briefing key stakeholders, and advising on procurement strategies
  • Interpret national guidance/policy/strategy and report writing, enabling clear, concise, and informative policy documents, reports, and committee papers

Requirements
  • Substantial experience in commissioning, contracting, and policy development
  • Excellent written communication skills, enabling clear, concise, and informative policy documents, reports, and committee papers
  • Experience in market analysis, supporting the implementation of commissioning strategies
  • Knowledge of data protection, human rights, and key health and social care policy issues related to commissioning and contracting
